With five seasons that span over 42 episodes, and almost 60 hours of watch time, Stranger Things has possessed everyone’s hearts and become one of the highest grossing TV shows of all time. Starting on November 26th, its last season will be crawling its way into everyone’s hearts, homes and TVs. I’m here to give you a rundown of release dates, episode lengths, episode titles, and the teasers/trailers we’ve seen so far, as well as theories and fan debates on where this season will lead.

The titles of Stranger Things episodes are infamous for being scarily vague, but the new season has some alarmingly forward episode titles, such as episode two, titled “The Vanishing of _______ Wheeler” (many have speculated that the disappearance will be Holly Wheeler, as she has suddenly appeared as a very important character in the trailers). The episode titles, from 1 to 8, are, “The Crawl”, “The Vanishing_____”, “The Turnbow Trap”, “Sorcerer”, “Shock Jock”, “Escape From Camazotz”, “The Bridge” and the finale, “The Rightside Up” (reference to the Upside Down). People have speculated that episode four “Sorcerer” will be centered around Eleven, as she is the “sorcerer” or “mage” of the main group in the show (established mainly in season one and season two), and that episode seven “The Bridge” will be about her and Will (the only two characters tied to the Upside Down). Many believe this episode will be about permanently shutting the gate, effectively destroying “The Bridge” and the Upside Down. Shockingly, the episode with the most speculations and theories is Episode 5, “Escape From Camazotz”. The camazots, according to DND lore (which Stranger Things is based upon) is a giant vampire bat, and many speculate this creature to be none other than fan-favorite Eddie Munson, who died a heroic death last season to save Dustin Henderson. Some believe he will play a crucial role in either saving or killing some characters, and their success in ridding Hawkins of the Upside Down.
The alleged episode lengths this season are also insane, ranging from 90 minutes to over 120 minutes every episode. Normally, episodes are 40-70 minutes, with the longer episodes being the last few episodes where the plot thickens. A whole eight episodes being as long as most movies are, fans are really in for an action-packed adventure, and a crazy conclusion to this amazing show that has spanned almost a decade. I myself started and almost finished my rewatch, and am anxiously awaiting the first four episodes to drop on Wednesday, November 26th.
