What’s The Name of the Game? Theater!:
With a new school year underway means it’s time for the THS Theatre Company to put on a new, amazing show for the school year! Switching things up, the company has decided to start off the school year with a musical, rather than a play. They have also deviated off their usual course of musicals to do what will possibly be their best yet, Mamma Mia!
Gimme Gimme Gimme (More Information):
For some background, Mamma Mia is a broadway musical/movie following the story of one Sophia Sheridan, juggling with her quickly approaching wedding, and dealing with the three possible men who could be her father. The one thing standing in her way is her ever loving and caring mother, Donna Sheridan, who closed all three men out of her life long ago, and is apprehensive about Sophie marrying her love. What will happen when Sophie wants her true father to give her away at her wedding, and her mother wants nothing more than for them to go away?
Super Trouper Lights are Gonna Light the Stage:
The company just had auditions this week, but a little birdie tells me they are still looking for some people to fill in some roles, if anyone is interested. The show will hit the stage for three nights only, January 10th – January 12th. The THS Theatre Company always puts on amazing shows, and this is one I promise you won’t want to miss. With lively dance numbers, heart-tugging singing performances, and energetic ensemble pieces. With a score and music assembly by hit band ABBA, you know the music will be amazing.
Lay All Your (Time) On (Them):
If you have time, and a couple bucks to spare, please give the show a chance and stop by to see it for one of the three nights (or multiple…if it’s that good, which it will be). There are always amazing snacks available at intermission provided by another club or a class, and the show itself will be fantastic! Hope to see you there!
