After a long-awaited election week has passed with Donald Trump taking the win, many Americans have either been celebrating or started packing their bags. All of that aside, it is important to analyze some of the following policies and plans that will most likely take place in the next four years. Former and soon to be current President Donald Trump won the election with 312 electoral votes, while current and soon to be former Vice President Kamala Harris had 226.
Trump’s policies for the following four years will apply to many different topics in our country, including immigration and abortion. Trump’s plan for immigration can be determined down to mass deportations of illegal immigrants and terminating birthright citizenship for infants born under two illegal immigrants. For abortion, it is unclear whether or not his administration will “aggressively defend against legal challenges seeking to restrict access to abortion pills, including mifepristone, as the Biden administration has” (AP News). On a real note, women across the country have expressed fear of their abortion rights being limited or overall taken away, making it important that these policies are well communicated within news and special media outlets.
