As the leaves turn and the weather cools you know exactly what season it is. Fall is a season you can always expect to have specialty drinks for. Many of you know exactly what I am talking about. Whether it’s from the cold drinks to the hot ones, I’m giving you the scoop on what drinks are personally overrated or underrated, and will also tell you my favorite fall drink!
One pumpkin drink I had tried was the nutty pumpkin iced coffee from Dunkin. I did not enjoy that drink… I can admit I have never really enjoyed coffee but there was something about the flavors in this coffee that were just unsettling. Pumpkin flavor by itself is good but when that nutty and cinnamon flavor is added to it, it’s a whole different taste. I had also tried the classic pumpkin spice lattes from two different places and although it did taste slightly different from each place, the cinnamon and pumpkin mix just ruins it for me. Personally, I don’t think that pumpkin should be mixed with anything, it should just be in coffee with no additional flavors.
Additionally, I also think all pumpkin or apple-flavored drinks should be specifically for fall only. Speaking of apple drinks, I tried cold apple cider and honestly, it was really good. I can understand why people like it so much. It is such a sweet drink and personally, apples are the only thing that works well with cinnamon in a drink. The last drink (that I honestly didn’t even need to try because I drink it all the time during the fall) is hot chocolate. This might be biased because hot chocolate is definitely a fall-to-winter drink but I love the sweet warm taste of hot chocolate! It is the perfect drink to warm you up and the only normal hot drink besides coffee and tea. So all in all, my favorite drink is, no doubt, hot chocolate! All of the drinks I tried have their own unique flavors, and I think everyone is allowed to have their own opinions about fall drinks. (Except for people who like pumpkin spice, you all are just weird…) Enjoy your Fall!
