The THS Girls Tennis team has had a lot on their plate after winning the D3 State Championship last year. However, they have been able to keep their heads high and spirits up, leading them to a 8-3 record and in second place in Division 3.
As one of the captains of the team, I have been extremely impressed with how our team has been doing this year. We have been able to get through all of the challenges we have faced against other teams, and at this point, we will be going into the playoffs in a little less than two weeks.
Additionally, on October 2, 2025, the team played a pink out game against Tolman High School. They even had a bake sale to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Nonprofit Organization. There were many kinds of baked goods, including chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting, cookies of all kinds, banana bread, brownies, rice krispie treats, pizza, and even Gatorade.
The team would like to thank everyone who donated and came to the bake sale to buy some baked goods. Overall, the tennis team raised $300 in total. 100% of the profits are being donated to the Breast Cancer Research Nonprofit Organization, going back to the fact that it is Breast Cancer Awareness this month.
Overall, the team has an extremely tight bond that has pushed them to get as far as they have this season. They hope to keep the momentum going strong, and eventually carry that momentum into the playoffs!
