On October 3rd the Singer/Songwriter Taylor Swift is set to release her new album, “The Life of Showgirl.” This album was written with past collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, who also worked on the albums, Red, 1989, and reputation with the singer.
With twelve songs this album includes tracks, ”The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wi$h Li$t,” “Wood,” “Cancelled!,” “Honey,” and title track “Life of a Showgirl. (feat. Sabrina Carpenter).” As her twelfth album, this has already broken the record for most pre-saves on spotify, a record previously held by Swift’s album ”The Tortured Poets Department.”
Written primarily while Swift was on the European leg of her record-shattering Eras Tour, this is presumably about all Taylor went through during and for the tour, and she herself described it as “the life beyond the show” (New Heights).
This album includes variants, Tiny Bubbles in Champagne Collection (two new vinyls), The And Baby That’s Show Business Collection (two new vinyls), The Shiny Bug Collection (two new vinyls), It’s Beautiful (target exclusive cd), It’s Rapturous (target exclusive cd) and It’s Frightening (target exclusive cd), The crowd is your king (A new vinyl edition) along with the typical album cover which comes in vinyl cd and cassette. This album has a cardigan box set for merch, with a sparkly orange fabric, an embroidered TS on the breast and twelve stars embroidered up the arm, representing Swift’s twelfth album.
Distinct from other albums previously released, this has a movie entitled “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.” Which features Swift’s personal comments on the songs, a world premier of the first music video “The Fate of Ophelia” with behind the scenes footage and brand new lyric videos.
Already set to shatter the world “The Life of a Showgirl” leaves swifties and music fans alike on the edge of their seats.
